thankyou very much for the forum, it's very interesting,
6 month ago I had buyed mastercam with mill turn and 5axis, but after 6 month the post processor don't works good, and today I have deleted the contract with mastercam.
Now I need a new cam software with mill 5 axis, turning.
we need a cam sometime with first and second spindle linked to mill a long shaft, and sometime transfer the piece from first to second spindle.
I have contact Openmind, but they don't use first and second spindle in the same post processor.
please help me.
what is teh best cam for Integrex??
thanks again

I use PartMaker TurnMill. I have done some work with them improving the post and still
have some work to do. But they are very helpful when needed. I have the same machine
but with a lower turret.

I thought Mazak and MasterCam worked together?

I looked some month ago partmaker but it isn't a 3d software only 2d it's difficult to make 5axis machining.
about mazak and mastercam cooperation, yes, I think, but with an integrex with only 1st spindle and upper turret, the programmer have modify the post to add the second spindle and the lower turret.
thabks for your help Stephen Bobrowiecki

Camworks is my preference. It works within solidworks and you work with the feature tree the designer created. Also the verification works flawless directly from the model. No importing.

Do you by chance get the In-House post? I program our E series and it is a pain sometimes, but does get the job done. If you used some other post then I feel for you.

Esprit or NX6 are the 2 I have heard that are worth looking into. I know someone who looked at partmaker and ended up using NX6 instead.

Hi, we use Unigraphics NX4 for our Mazak Inzegrex 4 100 ST.
I think you can use to generate programs almost every uptodate 3d CAM Software.
The hard work is to build the postprocessor, it takes a lot of time.
We need half a year to get the first parts from the machine.
One further year to optimize and find bugs. After one and a half year we gain 95%
of the functions we want. We need almost all functions of the integrex, included
5 axis simultan.

I have a question regarding the post you have written for your Integrex. I also use NX4 to do my programming. Did you write the post? Would you be able to give me alittle guidence? If you wouldn't mind could you email me at John.Vincent@kronesusa.com. I currently use an ICAM post that is very poor. I've started the task of writing a new post and have questions. Thanks.

As far as software, I love NX. It is very powerful. It is expensive though.

I do use the inhouse solution post on mastercam.
I also get contracted to help make posts. I'm currrently helping Camworks make a post for the e420HS II.
I have worked with Icam and UG to develop posts for the INT200IISY. They are too expensive and have poor support when it comes to getting post changes. I have UG NX6.

Hi, today I see the edgecam, what do you think about it?? I think that is better thank mastercam, but some cicle (5 axis) is the same of mastercam.
I think the edgecam have hight quality in turning but it's poor in machinig? what do you think??
thanks

Dear all,

We are a software development company that is totally focusing on developing software solutions for CNC manufacturing. Developing advanced postprocessors satisfying all our customers needs is our main goal.

Our customers are mainly from aviation industry and we have developed postprocessors for different brand of CNC machinte tools and control units like DMG, Mazak and so on...

It is interesting because our customer just showed me this web forum and now we are testing our postprocessor in their INTEGREX 400-IV machine tool. We are developing this postprocessor for Unigraphics NX4 and NX5.

Our solutions are standalone products and we currently developed postprocessors for different CAM systems like Catia V5, UG NX, ProE, Esprit and so on. We can also support other CAM systems in the market.

Our postprocessors are not just text converters that convert CLS or APT files to ISO or Heidenhein codes. We developed many different special algorithms to satisfy the needs of the customers. For instance, we are testing approach movement using G43.4 (instead of indexed movement) just for the first block indexed 3+2 axes cutting operations. This is really something special that we developed to prevent unwanted positioning movements during operation changes.

Some other special algorithms that we developed:
1-Automatic operation type recognition (3 axis, 3+2 indexed, simultaneous)
2- Listing of Feedrates As Variables At The Beginning Of Operations
3- Automatic A-Axis (B-axis) Plus-Minus Region Change Algorithm for Simultaneous Operations
4-. Defining Circular Movements and Drilling Cycles for 3 Axis and 3+2 Axis (Indexed) Operations
5- 5-Axis Simultaneous Positioning Algorithm At The Start of 3+2 Axis (Indexed) Operations

For detailed descriptions of these algorithms and others, please visit our web page.

If you are asking us what CAM software is best for INTEGREX, our answer will be: "Postprocessor should not be a limit, if you are satisfied with the tool path generation options that the CAM software offer to you, then continue to use that software, no need to change it."

We will be always glad to solve your problems.

Thank you,

Ender CENGIZ
