Hey guys

I'm trying to move a manual tracer lathe part over to our integrex 300. Its very similar to a progressive cavity helical rotor. I've spent a lot of time on the phone with Mazak applications and their senior engineers, as well as with esprit and have yet to find a viable solution with cycle times shorter than our tracer lathe. The only direction that seems viable, would be to pinch turn the sucker.

Are there options that need to be turned on? Would it be possible to just use a mill-turn toolpath and modifying the cutting tool to an OD cutting tool(mill-turning would more than double our machining time)?
