Just wondering if anyone has had issues using the rigid tap cycle (G84.2) on HD2. We can only get the tap to feed in spinning in reverse and retract spinning forward, Not good. Commanding M203 or M204 has no effect. G84 works as expected. Here is my code. I am using G12.1 as well. I'll have to test if that has anything to do with the issue.

I had that problem had to use G68.5 to get it to work right.

I was kind of thinking it had something to do with polar interpolation. I'm checking with Mazak if there is any software updates to fix this issue.

Thanks for your input

I do it all the time but only in Mazatrol and have never noticed an issue. I'd post the mazatrol file, and single block through the program and watch the EIA commands it throws past in the buffer. That will give you the format it is looking for in EIA.

you need to put the m203 or m204 on the same line as the tap call g84.2
