Hey guys, I have a Mazak quick turn Nexus 250-II lathe. I was wondering if anyone came up witha work around for maximun tool lengths? I have an insert drill I want ot use but it's about 6 1/2 " long and tool setter keeps giving me an error when I touch it off. ERROR ---#1109 TOOL LENGTH OVER.
Thanks.

Look for SU114 and i thnik SU112 and SU113 and also SU115. I don/t have the parameter list at the moment, but look at PARAMETER, MCODE and ALARM list manual. If you are measuring the tool lenght in horizntal or vertical way(and on wich side is the tool turn to SP1 or SP2), look wich su11X is controling it, and then just upper the value in param menu.

And another thing. Since this check function is new at matrix/matrix nexus, you can even turn it off if you want. Use SU154bit1 to 0 to cancel this function.

Thanks mikimajk...That worked fine. It appears I have an old book as mine doesn't show these parameters.
