Hi everone.
I often get an error when I spin the chuck by hand in our Mazak Nexus QT 250. I believe it must be controlled by some RPM parameter , does anyone know which parameter controls this?

Spin? You mean when rotationg the main spindle by hand?Wich alarm do you get?I belive you get some system alarm regarding safetyness, when rotation the spindle by hand. Please give us the number of the alarm, name of the alarm and most imporatant, the values/strings in brackets.(example of alamar: 43. Spindle malfunction 2(00000&32, 3, 0).
And another thing, when you get the alarm, you have to got to DIAGNOSE>ALARM, to see if there are any other alarms on the NC, if they are, please wrote them down and report.

MikiMajk, Yes I mean the main spindle, The alm I get is .... 25 SAFE OPERATION ALARM ( 6,&001, ) The only way to clear it is to shut the control off and then back on. Thanks.

I was told by a mazak guys this is for safety and is only because you spun the chuck or milling spindle to fast with the doors open.

I suspect that SP033 Spindle function 1 bit 6 should be OFF, not ON in your case. But i'm not 100% sure. I would also need the following things:

-Go to DIAGNOSE>VERSION>SPINDLE MONITOR then using PAGE UP or PAGE DOWN go to the page where ALM HIST will be showin on your left side of the screen. You will also see there SPINDLE 1 SPINDLE 2 SPINDLE 3
Tell me the last number under SPINDLE 1 to ALM HIST(exp: 1A)

-The second thing is also in spindle monitor area, you will tell me the UNIT TYPE wich you see in the upper left corrner(exp: CH-SP100)

You are probely using this machine for very long time?Did you have this alarm before? What about if you turn the spindle to 5000rpms?Any strange noises?

JohnVincent, i belive you, but somehow this should be adjusted by rpm of the spindle, like SA114 and SA116 on Matrix, don't you thnik?Othervised it's very disturbing.

There is a parameter that tells you how fast you can spin up the chuck with the jaws open. From the factory it's set to something like zero. I found our machine would occasionally alarm out on bar pulling and changed the parameter to 50 RPM. It no longer faults out, and I no longer get the alarm when spinning the chuck by hand to mouint a jaw, etc.

Don't set it to high or you can chuk a part if you forget to clamp it up before hitting start.

I think Stuart is right, it depends on jaw position. I'll confirm soon, next time I get my hands on a Nexus. I have a hrd time buying the fact that you must cycle power tho. Next time, hit the e-stop button, release, press MF1 & MF2 and reset, all at the same time. I'll bet this clears it. Please advise. thanks.

Hey Stuart, I think you are on the mark. Do you recall what that parameter was? Thanks.

Mazak 123, I had the te tech here the other day and he couldn't figure out how to clear the alam without shutting down either. Really that is my only complaint. If there was a way to clear it without powering off the controller I'd be happy to just go that path. Thanks.

Now does anyone now if you can turn on the intermittent chip conveyor timer on this machine? (mazak nexus 250t)

Windpirate: You are wrong. Sa114, S115 and SA116 are for Matrix/matrix Nexus only. Do you have the solution for Fusion and Fusion Pro?
