e 650

hi i have just started a new job on a e650 matrix machine is 3 months old. it has a big bore chuck and all the turning tools are in 45 holders for clearance on chuck does anyone else do this? the guys have told me that you cant tooleye @45 is this true? and the teach tools off chuck ,

also i went a matrix controled integex before weird when mill it is now x rather than z

You can tool tool eye at 45, however, you have to describe the tool as a right hand or left hand tool.

I don't know about e650 but on a 300 matrix you MUST probe X first this will make the tool position go green with "?" question marks at X and Z then do Z and your numbers will appear..
