Is there a paramete setting for the rapid feed for the C-axis?
Or can it be done in the program?

Sometimes I have large and heavy work pieces, and when the C-axis turns 180° it turns cw ccw a couple of times until it finds the place to lock.

When I run at 25% it move smooth and nice. 50% is to fast. So if I could change the speed to 30-40% it would be nice.

So what you can do is change the value of rapid feedrate when rapid switch is at R0, R1 and R2.

R0 VALUE (RAPID TRAVERSE SPEED %)->PLC data paramter RS35
R1 VALUE (RAPID TRAVERSE SPEED %)->PLC data paramter RS36
R2 VALUE (RAPID TRAVERSE SPEED %)->PLC data paramter RS37

For example: RS36 is setted to 1% of rapid feedrate. You could change this to 30% or 35% if you want. Now if you turn the rapid switch to R1 you will get 35% of rapid feedrate, so be carefull now. Setting valids immediately.

This is for Matrix MTx control, NOT Fusion PRO.

I knew that :-)
But I wanted only the C-axis to slow down, if possible :-)

i'm glad that you knew that:).

So only C-axis?I thnik you can set SP26(spindle param) for max motor speed(units r/min), but i'm not sure. You have to ask mitsubishi(trought Mazak service) about this.

OR

change FEED paramters in mazatrol. In this case look at M1 paramter to line C1(rot. on main sp.) and lower the value(before inputin new value, please right down current value).

I just tried it 5 min ago, jumped in here just to post that it worked perfect to change the M1 parameter!

I always write down the old and new data, and date for changes, I believe that's good :-)
