have any of you guys ever attempted to put together a macro that would allow you to cut a worm of the od of a shaft? i would like to feed into the part in a Z/Y move. machine the length of the worm using a Z/C move. then feed off the part in a Z/Y move. i would like to have variables for pitch or lead, number of starts, depth of cut, and maybe start dia. i dont know if any of you guys know a good source for these kind of programs.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
