Please check the values in parameters, SP22=63, SP23=60, SP98=63, SP99=60. If these are not set, set them. If they are, double the values in each, cycle power, and check. Advise here of the results. Thanks. (Cycle power after changes)

Now John and Mazak 123, my question is really quite simple... Given that Mazak is supposed to have this fancy automated systems that tracks service related issues into a database, and the fact that this is a known tuning issue that crops up all the time... Why exactly does it take 3 days to figure out how to fix a simple tuning problem?

On the plus side, they are getting better. A similar issue took 27 days to resolve in my case... sigh...

it was odd....i mentioned parameter SP72 to the tech and he relayed what i told him to mitsubishi...they told him not to mess with the parameter?! Mazak on the hand told him to try it out. it wasnt until he finaly talked to someone at mitsubishi who sent him info on the SP and BS parameters that we saw that certain values were at zero when they shouldve had values like 260 and 300. the fix was easy but trying to explain why it took 3 days of swapping and ordering drives to fix the issue to the big bossman was the hard part : /

Well Stuart, it depends on who you get, and how hard they want to look for solutions. The guy that scheduels service calls can send people here and there, or some guys do the research so they have a plan when they go in. A data base is only good if it;s properly used!
